About 24zdorovie
Why 24zdorovie exists, how our sections are organised, how we fact-check our articles and why we are open about using AI in the editorial process.
Updated: July 21, 2026
24zdorovie is a publication about health, nutrition, movement, sleep and mental wellbeing. We explain complicated topics in plain language and build on research rather than rumour, marketing copy or one influencer's personal experience.
Why we do this
Health is one of the most polluted topics online. Sensible advice sits right next to detox programmes, metabolism-boosting supplements, diets with no evidence behind them and scare stories about foods people have eaten for thousands of years.
Sorting this out on your own is hard. Papers are written in dense academic language, many sit behind paywalls, and the conclusion of a single study almost never means what the headline claims it means. We take on that work: we read the sources, compare them with each other and translate the result into something you can actually use on a Monday morning.
Evidence first, myths never
Our core principle is simple. If a claim has no decent evidence behind it, we either leave it out or say plainly that the data is thin, the question is open, and here is what is known today.
That leads to a few inconvenient but important consequences:
- We never promise ten kilos in two weeks, and we do not publish crash weight-loss schemes.
- We do not call foods superfoods, and we do not sort meals into clean and dirty.
- We write about effect size, not just about whether an effect exists. A difference can be statistically significant and still be useless in practice.
- We say who a study was run on. A result in mice, or in twelve trained men, is not a recommendation for everyone.
How the sections work
Articles are organised into eight areas so you know where to go with a specific question:
- Nutrition — what and how much to eat, how to read labels, explainers on nutrients and popular diets.
- Recipes — real meals with calories and protein, fat and carbohydrate figures.
- Fitness — strength work, cardio, recovery, technique and load planning.
- Sleep — sleep hygiene, schedules, insomnia, coping with shift work.
- Mental health — stress, anxiety, burnout and evidence-based self-regulation.
- Supplements — what works, what does not and what is simply expensive.
- Weight — sustainable loss and maintenance without extreme measures.
- Longevity — the habits and factors genuinely linked to a longer healthy life.
How we check facts
Every article follows the same route. First we gather sources: systematic reviews and meta-analyses, guidance from the WHO, the NIH, Cochrane and national professional bodies. Individual small studies are used as illustration, never as the basis for a recommendation.
Then we check whether the sources contradict each other, and if they do, we say so in the text itself. Every key health claim ends up in the source list at the bottom of the article, linked to the original, so you can check our work yourself.
Articles do not live forever. Guidelines get revised and new reviews are published, so each piece carries an update date and we return to older texts when the evidence changes. There is more detail on our editorial policy page.
Being honest about AI
Part of the groundwork in our newsroom is done by language models: finding and organising sources, structuring an article, drafting first versions, proofreading. We think it is right to say that openly rather than pretend every word was typed by hand.
That said, nothing is published in the form a model produced it. An editor verifies every factual claim against the primary source, removes anything that does not hold up, and is accountable for the final text. AI is an accelerator here, not an author, and certainly not a source of medical knowledge. Responsibility for what we publish rests with the editorial team.
What we do not do
24zdorovie is not a medical provider. We do not diagnose, we do not prescribe and we do not replace a consultation with a clinician. Everything you read here is general information meant to help you make better-informed decisions together with a professional. See our medical disclaimer for details.
