Updated: July 21, 2026

Everything on 24zdorovie is published for information. It is not a medical service, not a diagnosis and not a prescription. We explain what the science says — decisions about your health are made by you together with your clinician.

What "for information" actually means

Between "this works in studies" and "this will work for you" sit your age, weight, heart, kidney and liver function, pregnancy, the medications you take and a dozen other facts we do not know. Medicine treats a specific person; an article addresses an average one. Read our texts as a map of the territory, not as a route card.

No clinician–patient relationship

Reading this site, subscribing to the newsletter or corresponding with the editorial team does not create a clinician–patient relationship. Our authors and medical reviewers are not your treating clinicians, do not manage your case and bear no responsibility for it. We do not give individual consultations and do not interpret test results by email — however much we might want to help.

Who needs extra caution

Talk to a clinician before changing your diet, training or starting supplements if you:

  • are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding;
  • are under 18;
  • live with a chronic condition — diabetes, heart, kidney, liver or thyroid disease, or an autoimmune condition;
  • take medication regularly: many supplements interact with drugs, shifting their effect in either direction;
  • are recovering from surgery, injury or illness;
  • have a history of disordered eating — articles about calories and deficits can do harm;
  • are over 65.

About supplements and doses

The numbers in our articles are upper and lower bounds drawn from research and official guidance, not a personal prescription. More is not better: vitamin D, iron, selenium and many other compounds have a tolerable upper limit beyond which harm begins. Supplements are not held to the efficacy testing required of medicines, and their contents do not always match the label.

About food, training and weight

Material on calories, deficits and diet composition assumes a healthy adult. We deliberately do not publish extreme weight-loss schemes and do not endorse the idea of "clean" and "dirty" food. If the topic of weight makes you anxious or guilty, talk to a professional — that matters more than any table of protein grams.

Training programmes assume you are cleared for physical activity. Pain, dizziness or breathlessness during a session is a signal to stop and see a clinician, not to push through.

How current this material is

Science updates and guidance changes. We show the publication date and the date of the last revision, review key articles and correct them when solid new evidence appears. But time passes between a study's release and our edit: that date at the top of the article means something — the older it is, the more worth double-checking the conclusions.

We link to research and official guidance but are not responsible for third-party content. Advertising and affiliate links are labelled and are not medical recommendations: a product appearing in an ad slot does not mean the editorial team thinks you need it. See Advertise for details.
